Afternoon Tea at Maryboro
Tea at Maryboro Lodge is an occasion to get together with friends, and make the most of summer on the Kawartha Lakes. Drop by anytime for a casual social, or join us for formal Afternoon Tea, Wednesdays from 1-4 pm from July 1 to Labour Day. Each Wednesday we feature a special heritage treat, along with tea, lemonade and handmade scones. Talented local pianists accompany each Afternoon Tea on our 1868 Chickering Square Grand, which retains its magnificent sound, though it was the first piano in the village. This community gathering at Maryboro Lodge is perhaps Fenelon Falls’ longest running social tradition, dating all the way back to the 1830s. The Abbott sisters, who operated Maryboro Lodge from 1913 until it became a community museum in 1963 are best remembered for the teas they hosted under the ancient oak grove.
