On April 27 the Swing Bridge opened for the season and Liz Pead shot this video….
When the Fenelon Falls Lock was built a swing bridge was needed to replace a fixed span to allow boats to pass between Sturgeon and Cameron Lake. The 1894 Swing Bridge is still operational and a designated historic structure. Each year it opens and closes using a hand crank.
