A little creek tributary to Hawker's Creek that never freezes
Hawker’s Creek flows south, bisecting North Verulam on its way to Sturgeon Lake and is classed as a provincially significant wetland…. It is also quite beautiful, though practically all of it is privately owned. It is named for Sidney Hawker who operated a shingle mill at its mouth in the mid nineteenth century.
Though at first glance it looks like life pauses under the white blanket of winter snow, there are little nooks that remain as vibrant as summer…
