Situated on the west end of Sturgeon Lake not far from the hamlet of Cameron, Long Beach was home to several cottages by the time this view was captured in 1948, looking south.

This early view of Long Beach, looking south, shows just how narrow the road was prior to the widespread use of automobiles. Three very large trees provided vacationers with plenty of shade in which to enjoy the refreshing breezes blowing in from the waters of Cameron Lake. Note the large, two-storey structure on the right, which was probably used as a dance hall.
