W. (William?) Webster [ 1859 - 1935 ]

William Webster was a grain dealer in the mid-1880s. He worked with R.M. Butler and the Gazette described them as “on the [grain] market…” [FFG 3 Oct 1885; 2]. The 1890 Census of Fenelon Township lists Webster as a 31 year-old “Baptist drover and cattle buyer.” By the mid-1890s Webster was an Insurance Agent, acting as an agent for the London & Lancashire Life Insurance. (Province of Ontario Gazetteer and Directory [1895]). Webster died in 1935 and was buried in the Fenelon Falls Cemetery.

814 There is also another William Webster listed as a 42 year-old blacksmith.
