Ludger Laliberte

  • Shoes 1884 (Approx.) - 1889 (Approx.)

Ludger was the brother of Albert Laliberte. His bootmaking business was certainly in operation by April 1884 for it was burnt out in the great fire of April 1884 [FFG 26 April 1884; 2]. He also took temporary quarters in the Jordan block above Mr. Nevison and Mr. Blott [FFG 3 May 1884; 2]. Ludger Laliberte’s shop seldom appeared in the newspapers, but his shop vanishes altogether from most records by the end of the 1880s.

435 The 1881 Census lists 40 year old Louis Laliberte as a labourer. This is probably not the same man.
