John McIntyre [ 1804 (Approx.) - 1886 (Approx.) ]

McIntyre is listed in the Canada Directory (1851), and in the 1851 Census of Fenelon Township as a 48 year-old, Scottish-born Inn keeper with a two storey log house, a store and an inn. This inn has not been identified to date, and McIntyre may only have acted as the proprietor, rather than the owner. There is a John McGregor McIntyre listed in the 1861 Census, which may indicate that the family store was still in operation (see below). There is a John McIntyre buried in the Fenelon Falls Cemetery who died September 26th, 1886.

539 Variant spelling: MacIntyre.
