Harry Linney

Linney is listed in McKim’s Canadian Newspaper Directory as the Editor and Publisher of The Star from 1900 to 1905, but R.J. Moore states in the Souvenir of Fenelon Falls (1904), which Moore printed, that he took over control in August 19011. Linney founded The Star as an “unlimited independent journal” in opposition to the established Fenelon Falls Gazette. The first issue probably appeared in October 1900. Linney sold out to R.J. Moore less than a year later and left the village.

450 Variant spelling: Tinney, Harve
