Frederick Chambers (the son of Edward Chambers) and Susannah [Susana] were married in June 1898. Frederick was listed as a labourer in the 1891 Census, but by 1900 had opened a wheelwright shop. There is some indication that a partnership was formed under the name Chambers and Palmer from 1901 to 1902, but everything returned to Chambers by 1903. Around 1907 all business operations were transferred into Susannah’s name. By 1906 Fred was operating a planing mill, and according to the Junkin Family History, the mill that he owned lasted until the 1970s . Both Susannah and Fred are buried in the Fenelon Falls cemetery.
