Edward Lansfield [ 1852 (Approx.) - 1901 ]

Although listed as a 40 year-old “mail carrier” in the 1891 Census, we know little about Edward Lansfield’s business. When he died in Fenelon Falls on October 10, 1901, he was aged 49 years and [two] months. The Funeral was at “8 am on Saturday in the Roman Catholic Church; thence to the cemetery in Verulam” [FFPL 01.23] where he was buried in the St. Aloysius Cemetery. “The horses, vehicles and carting business of the late Edward Lansfield were purchased this week by Mr. Robert Magee, who ran his first trip to the station yesterday. We wish him well.” [FFPL 01.6A].
