Snowdon Park is located just north of Gelert on County Road 1. It is about ten minutes from Minden and is that community’s largest greenspace. Many visitors come to enjoy the lookout over a wetland that is a short walk from the parking lot. The route then leads to two loops (Ross Rigney Trail and the Brenda Chambers Trail) with a trail connecting them. The entire network takes about three hours to complete. Founded in the early 1980s, it was expanded in 2003. The pathways have little elevation change relative to the rolling hills of the surrounding countryside.
