High Falls
High Falls is a series of cataracts on the York River, situated north of Harcourt, where the historic Peterson Colonization Road heads east. It is accessible by canoe or via a well maintained hiking trail through the woods. The route follows an old road through a pine plantation, narrows to a footpath, then connects with the portage. It is one of the many beautiful places to hike in Haliburton county.
