Lid and Sign

A sign hand painted with Green Paint, "No Swearin," recovered from the Fallen Barn at Lot 28E Con V Verulam, last used by Henry Walker. Henry disapproved of swearing while working in his barn, so he painted this sign. It is on the reverse side of a pork barrel lid from Canada Packers, addressed by hand in Pencil to McFarland's Store, Fenelon Falls. Henry was a good friend of the McFarlands and often shopped there.
